Ron was a wonderful human being, patriot, friend, and neighbor. He was kind, sweet, caring, sharing. He loved his family and his animals. I can look out now and see his two horses. As I wrote his daughter Andrea, Ron undoubtedly quickly was brought into Heaven where he is sharing racing tips with all who will listen and telling God which chariots and horses are the fastest.

Ron shared lots of stories with my husband, Paul, and me. Some were about his horses, his life, his family. No matter what difficulties Ron encountered as he told these stories, they were invariably positive stories about overcoming challenges. Indeed, he did overcome many challenges, but this last one took him and everyone around him by surprise.

We will sadly miss him and his inspiration. We will endeavor to always place American flags outside his barn. We promise also to watch over our friend, his daughter, as well as his granddaughter, and wonderful great granddaughter whom we have come to call our little Pixie girl. A caring and sweet guy is gone but he will never be forgotten. And, Ron, we thank you again for your service to our country. Fondly, Karen
