East Avon – Belfast, NY Past away peacefully on April 18, 2023 at age 89. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie (Harry) Hudson; granddaughter, Barbara (Terry) Pignato; grandson, Brian Hudson (Jenna Divincezo); great granddaughters, Nina, Breanna, Alyssa Pignato; brother, William Wagner; sister Mona Craft; many numerous friends of whom he cherished including lifelong friends, Bill Vonglis and Gary Jameson; also his furry faithful companion “Sophie”. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Betty of 52 years, who passed in 2007. Ray lost his long and courageous battle to cancer. He was a Navy Veteran and a longtime member of the American Legion Post 294 of East Avon.
Family and friends are invited to call Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 4 – 7 PM at the O’Connell – Dougherty Funeral Home 2041 Lake Ave., Lima followed by a military service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wilmot Cancer Center 300 East River Road, PO Box 278996 Rochester, NY 14627.
