Obituary for John L. Duryee

June 5, 2022 at age 80. Predeceased by his son, Mark, sister, Roberta Kalbfleisch, and brother, Charlie Duryee. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Joyce, Daughter Michele (Andrew) Stephenson, grandchildren, Joshua Duryee (Ashlee O’Neil), Korilynn Duryee, Jillian (Steven) Bradigan, Jonathan Stephenson (Trinh Nguyen), Rachel (Jeremy) Muir, four great-grandchildren, brothers, Tom (Lorraine), David (Cheryl), Stephen (Lori) Duryee and Jack Hawley.
John was a mechanic at heart. He owned two full service gas stations and a mechanics shop for several years. He retired from his career as a service manager at Meyers Chevrolet in Livonia, NY.
John loved to watch baseball and was an avid NASCAR fan, especially Dale Earnhart Sr.
Friends may call Wednesday June 8th from 1-3 PM where his funeral service will be held at 3 PM at Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home in Avon, NY with internment at East Avon Cemetery.
