LIMA - March 9, 2022 at age 79. She is survived by her loving children, Richard (Marcellé) Slocum, Deborah (Donald) Hamilton, Barbara White / Slocum, Linda Barbera; step son, Bob Colyer; brothers, Douglas (Carolyn) Buckland, Kenneth (Mary) Buckland; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Myrna was predeceased by her husband Robert L. Slocum.
Myrna had a wonderful personality. She was always so positive and found the good in everything. She proudly loved her husband Bob and their home they built together that was the beginning of creating a beautiful family together. She always put her children before herself and enjoyed long talks with them. She has many grandchildren that she adored. Her house was filled with warm hugs and sweet memories. There was lots of laughter and love from her. She was an amazing registered nurse who made a positive impact on many lives. She retired to take care of her husband Bob, but ended up going back part-time because of how much she loved her career. She was loved by so many people and will be missed deeply.
Family and friends are invited to call Monday, March 14, 2022 from 4 - 7 PM at the O’Connell - Dougherty Funeral Home 2041 Lake Ave. Lima where her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 10 AM. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lima Volunteer Ambulance PO Box 335 Lima, NY 14485.
