Dorothy Annis Coyne passed away peacefully on Sunday morning February 20, 2022 at age 94. We knew the sunrise that morning was Dorothy heading to her final resting place. She was born September 20, 1927 to the late Victor and Marion Annis. She is also predeceased by her brother, Howard (Betty) Annis.
Dorothy loved her family and friends. Her church family at the Avon United Methodist Church were also very important to her. Dorothy spent 80 years with her Avon High School Sweetheart, “Ted Coyne” 73 years of those years married.
Survived by her husband, Edward “Ted” Coyne; sons, Bob (Linda) Coyne, David (Kim) Coyne, Alan Coyne (Tana); grandchildren, Jake (Pamela) Brown, Rob (Carrianne) Coyne, Jason Coyne (Jessica) Hannah Hughes (Matt), Malachy Coyne, Nicole Coyne (Josh), Chase Coyne; great-grandchildren, Jansen, Noah, Riley, Abby, Brayden, Grayson, Collin, Brooklyn; special friends, Jeanne Coyne, Helen Cole, Judy D’Angelo.
Friends may call Friday, March 25, 2022 from 4-7 P.M. at Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, 350 Genesee Street, Avon. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10 A.M. at the Avon United Methodist Church, 130 Genesee Street, Avon, NY 14414. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, Avon.
