AVON - July 1, 2021 at the age of 70, he passed peacefully surrounded by his family on his 48th wedding anniversary. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sue E. (Auge) Staley; children, Tyrel T. Staley, Amber M. (Bill) Coffey; sisters, Ruth Kepers, Norma (Dennis) Smallwood, Susan (Gary) Barteau, Natheleen (Rod) Chevalier; brother, Harry S. Staley, Jr.; grandchildren, Hannah, Thomas, Faith Staley, Maverick, Avanda Coffey; several nieces and nephews.
George was predeceased by his sister, Betty Jane Staley. George was a career retired Army veteran that served during the Vietnam War.
Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 5 - 8 PM at the Stephenson - Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. 350 Genesee Street, Avon where his Funeral Service will be held following calling hours at 8 PM. Interment Western NY Veterans National Cemetery, Corfu.
