AVON - Died unexpectedly on February 17, 2020 at age 85. He is survived by his loving children, Randy Batzel of Houghton, NY, Bruce Batzel, David (Maureen) Batzel both of Avon; grandchildren, Keith, Jennifer Pfenninger, Emily, Chad Batzel; great grandson, Ashton Leubner; several nieces and nephews.
Dick was predeceased by his wife Jane E. Batzel; sister, Lois Gfeller; brother Gary Batzel. Dick was an Army Veteran and served from 1957 to 1959. He worked for and retired from Rochester products after 20 years of service.
Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 3:00 pm his Memorial Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 5605 East Avon - Lima Road, Avon. Private Spring interment East Avon, Cemetery, Avon. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church PO Box 189, Avon, New York 14414.
