Condolences

Condolence From: Marty & Cathy Gardner
Condolence: Dorie was a dear and compassionate friend who inspired us to no end as she persevered through a lengthy period of health challenges. Even on the cloudiest of days, she found the sun and ignored her own discomforts to lift the spirits of others. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her love for four legged creatures, especially her dogs, was known to all. Her memories of family and friends, working years and adventurous outings throughout her lifetime were vivid, and she took great pleasure in happy reminiscing. One day, it seemed the time had come to retire her car as it hadn't been driven in quite some time. Dorie didn't mind, but she wasn't happy at all about turning in her cherished license plates. By chance issue many decades earlier, they read "300 HEN". For months following, she talked about those plates and all of the fun she enjoyed over the years as friends made reference to her as the "300 HEN". Optimistic as she always was, she looked forward to retrieving them when things got better :)). Her last dog, Al, was a gentle and beloved companion and Dorie's heart and mind were put to rest when the loving family who assisted with him during Dorie's illness adopted him as part of their family. Her gratitude for this blessing was enormous. Dorie had a heart of gold and her determined, caring spirit will continue to be an inspiration in our lives. Our condolences to her family and many treasured friends.
