Janet L. Pavlot (Briody)
Dansville. On April 7, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by spouse, John Briody, sons, John Patrick and Evan Briody, sister, Charlene (Frank) Harris. In-laws: Margaret Briody (Richard Muir), Kathleen(Fred)Keller, Mary KinCannon, Patricia(Bruce Clair)Plumeri, Sheila Briody,SSJ, Theresa Hultz, Rose Briody, Christine Redfield, Colleen(Stan)Perlmutter and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Janet was devoted to her family and had a love for people –friends and colleagues, as well as, the clients she worked with during her career as a rehab assistant. Janet worked many years within the New York State Office of Mental Health at the Rochester Psychiatric Center, including a recreation and rehab program in Geneseo, NY. Janet was also a hairdresser at Kirkhaven Nursing Home for several years.
Janet never saw a wrong that she did not try to right and she was fiercely protective of those she loved and the clients she served. She was tenacious and tender hearted at the same time! She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Friends may call Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 1-3 PM with her service to follow calling hours at 3 PM at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, 350 Genesee Street, Avon. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center, 417 South Ave, Rochester, NY 14620 or B.
